Exclusive Interview with REGINA HICKS
From the tender age of three, Regina filled her home with dynamic vocals while her family and friends encouraged her to be a bright star for the entire world to see. Daughter of R&B Crooner Dodd E. Hicks, formerly of the Cashmeres Shewas groomed early on to master her abilities as a vocalist/songwriter. Regina quickly excelled and was recognized by her music instructors for her stage presence and aptitude to dominate any crowd.
Larry Stream: Have you heard about artist getting there own streaming apps
from ISE MULTIMEDIA GROUP? If so do you plan on having your own?
Regina: I have and it’s definitely something I’m interested in to
stay cutting edge and relevant I’m here for it !!
Larry Stream: Do you have anything instore for 2019?
Regina: In 2019 I have the video for Real Love dropping then a mixtape Called
“Beneath The Covers” and I’m doing covers of Swv, Faith Evans,
MAriah Carey,Whitney, and a few more followed my the release of my album
now or Never. Also a few shows being setup

Regina: uhm not having a big major label
Budget that can push your music or a PR firm or person to market you as independent artist your paying for stuff yourself so when you are just getting started out it’s like bleak becaue you know you have a hot song but you don’t have the finances to push it so you have to do it yourself and it’s time consuming working social media but definitely worth it in the long run
Larry Stream: Who did you look up to or inspired you to be an artist?
We’ll definitely my Father many don’t know some
So but my dad was a member of the doo wop group the Cashmeres and they had a few hit record back in the day so my dad Whitney Minnie Riperton MAriah Stevie Diana Ross like they innovated and pioneered music and a lot has been lost in today’s
music the substance and knowledge.
At 14 the talented star moved from Long Island, NY to Atlanta, GA and collaborated with Tony Mercedes, and the now defunct corporation, LaFace Records. Regina was set to release her first album at the age of sixteen; unfortunately, when LaFace Records dissolved and the album shelved. The solo artist was forced to conclude major decisions in about her life. Regina chose to optimize her career by furthering her education. Her Passion for music always simmered under the surface of her life, just waiting to be expressed worldwide.
Gina is now ready to begin that journey to stardom and to showcase her powerful, "show-stopping" vocals. A natural talent with a five-octave vocal range Ready to create reality out of a dream and Make Hiatory !!
